Day 1 – Airport – Ljubljana
Arrive at Ljubljana, collect your rental car, and drive to your hotel. Enjoy a private guided walking tour of the city, strolling along the Triple and Dragon Bridges, exploring Congress Square, the National Library, and ending at Ljubljana Castle for panoramic views over the city and distant Alps. Spend your free time exploring the vibrant streets, riverside cafés, and local restaurants.

Day 2 – Ljubljana – Velika Planina – Kamnik – Ljubljana
After breakfast, visit the Velika Planina plateau, a scenic alpine area dotted with traditional shepherd huts. Choose to hike or take the cable car to the village and sample local dairy products, including trnič and fresh sour milk.
In the afternoon, explore Kamnik, wandering its charming Šutna street, lined with medieval houses and historic guild signs. Visit Liberty Square, home to centuries-old buildings and local fairs, and stop by the Franciscan Friary with its remarkable collection of ancient books. Discover Kamnik’s culinary offerings and browse its artisan shops, including local ceramics, before returning to Ljubljana.

Day 3 – Ljubljana – Maribor – Ptuj – Celje
Drive to Maribor, Slovenia’s second-largest city, situated along the Drava River. Visit the Maribor Cathedral and see the world’s oldest vine, a living testament to the region’s winemaking heritage. Continue to Ptuj, Slovenia’s oldest town, and explore its hilltop castle and charming old town streets. Conclude the day in Celje, preparing for a castle visit tomorrow.

Day 4 – Celje – Logarska Valley – Bled
Tour the imposing Celje Castle, once home to the powerful Counts of Celje. Continue through the breathtaking Logarska Valley, one of Slovenia’s most picturesque alpine valleys, and visit Rinka Waterfall, a 90 m cascade that plunges into a crystal-clear pool surrounded by lush forest.
Drive along Palič Pass, a scenic route offering panoramic views over the valley and surrounding peaks, and pass through Jezersko, a tranquil alpine village known for its traditional farmhouses and proximity to the Karavanke Mountains. Conclude the day in the charming town of Bled, nestled beside its iconic lake.

Day 5 – Bled – Bohinj – Bled
Visit Bled Castle, perched above the lake for sweeping views, and take a traditional pletna boat to Bled Island to ring the wishing bell at the Church of the Assumption. Day 6 – Bled – Kranjska Gora – Soča Valley

Day 7 – Soča Valley – Goriška Brda – Karst – Coast
