Hi, I’m Andy – and I’ve been lucky enough to call Slovenia home for the past few years.

After the pandemic, I felt it was time for a change — something completely different. I had been travelling regularly between Slovenia, Croatia, and Italy, working across all our travel brands, and found myself constantly drawn back to Slovenia. It was perfectly placed in the heart of everything, and I thought, why not try living here for six months?That was over four years ago, and I’m still here — completely in love with this beautiful country.One of the places that captured my heart early on is Kranjska Gora. Nestled in the Julian Alps, it’s a dream for nature lovers. I never get tired of the views — snow-capped peaks, crystal-clear lakes, and scenic trails that make even a short walk feel like an adventure. Whether it's hiking in summer, skiing in winter, or just enjoying a coffee with a mountain view, Kranjska Gora has a peaceful charm that's hard to beat.It’s also a place that blends tradition and outdoor lifestyle so effortlessly — and I love helping others discover the quiet magic it offers year-round.Living here has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I feel incredibly lucky to share this part of the world with travellers looking for something special.

Hi, I’m Hayley– and I find peace and charm on Slovenia’s coast.

After eight years of living in Slovenia, I’ve explored its diverse landscapes — from alpine peaks to vineyard-covered hills — but the Slovenian coast holds a special place in my heart.Whenever I need a change of pace from the quiet eastern countryside where I live, I head to the coast — particularly the timeless charm of Piran and Izola.Piran feels like a step back in time. Its cobbled streets, Venetian Gothic architecture, and sweeping sea views offer a serene escape. I love swimming in the crystal-clear Adriatic (best enjoyed with rubber shoes for the rocky shore), wandering the historic alleys, and lingering over a glass of wine or artisan gelato by the water’s edge.Just along the coast, Izola offers a more authentic, lived-in charm — a fishing town with soul. It’s the kind of place where family-run restaurants serve fresh, local seafood, and a chilled wine at sunset feels like a small luxury in itself.For me, the coast isn’t just a destination — it’s an experience of quiet beauty, culture, and indulgence. and I love helping others discover its magic.

I will always be enchanted by Slovenia — a small country brimming with breathtaking natural beauty and rich traditions. I grew up in the quaint village of Bicje, just outside Ljubljana, and now live in the capital itself. I love Ljubljana’s vibrant energy — its cozy cafés, lively streets, and ever-present sense of charm.No matter where life takes me, I’m always drawn back to two of my favourite escapes: Velika Planina and Bled Gorge.
Velika Planina feels like stepping into a fairytale — a peaceful alpine plateau high in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. With its iconic wooden huts, rolling green meadows, and preserved shepherd culture, it offers an atmosphere like nowhere else. I cherish quiet mornings there, sipping herbal tea in a mountain hut as the sun rises over the peaks. And if you're lucky, you might witness the shepherds making fresh cheese — an unforgettable taste of Slovenia’s heritage.
Bled Gorge offers a completely different kind of magic. This narrow canyon, carved by crystal-clear waters and tucked within lush forests, feels like a hidden world waiting to be discovered. Walking along its wooden pathways, surrounded by the sounds of rushing water and birdsong, you can’t help but feel a deep connection to nature.
Slovenia is a land of contrasts — alpine tranquillity, wild natural beauty, and lively urban culture — all within reach. Velika Planina and Bled Gorge perfectly capture this spirit. Whether you’re exploring the vibrant streets of Ljubljana or losing yourself in the quiet majesty of the mountains, Slovenia will capture your heart.
