Day 1 – Arrival in Slovenia

Upon arrival at Ljubljana Airport, you will be welcomed by your host and transferred to Slovenia’s capital city, Ljubljana.

Accommodation is provided at Dežela Okusov, a unique establishment combining comfortable accommodation with one of Slovenia’s leading 100% gluten-free restaurants.

After check-in, spend the remainder of the day exploring the picturesque city centre at your own pace. Stroll along the banks of the emerald-green Ljubljanica River, discover the city’s many cafés and boutiques, and enjoy a relaxed evening meal knowing that everything on the menu is completely gluten-free.

Day 2 – Discover Ljubljana

After breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring one of Europe’s most charming capitals.

We have included a private walking tour of Ljubljana including the funicular ride to the castle.

Other highlights include:

• Ljubljana Castle, perched high above the city and accessible by funicular railway or a scenic walk

• Tivoli Park – Ljubljana’s green heart

• The vibrant Central Market

• The city’s many museums and galleries

• Shopping at BTC City – one of the largest shopping and leisure centres in the region

Day 3 – Ljubljana to Radovljica and Lake Bled

After breakfast, depart Ljubljana and travel north towards the Julian Alps and the charming medieval town of Radovljica.

After checking into your accommodation (Hiša Linhart), the remainder of the day is dedicated to exploring nearby Lake Bled, Slovenia’s most iconic destination and one of the most photographed lakes in Europe.

Surrounded by mountains and crowned by a fairy-tale island church, Lake Bled offers visitors the perfect introduction to Slovenia’s Alpine region.

We have included a private walking tour of Bled and an electric boat trip to Bled Island.

Guests may also choose to:

• Walk the 6-kilometre path around the lake

• Explore the spectacular medieval Bled Castle, perched high on a cliff overlooking the lake

• Relax in one of the lakeside cafés while admiring the stunning scenery

For those feeling energetic, several easy panoramic walks offer breathtaking views of the lake, island and surrounding mountains.

In the evening, return to Radovljica and enjoy a leisurely stroll through its beautifully preserved medieval old town, where centuries-old buildings, hidden courtyards and magnificent Alpine views create a uniquely authentic Slovenian atmosphere.

Guests seeking an exceptional dining experience may choose to reserve a table at Hiša Linhart, where Michelin-starred chef Uroš Štefelin showcases the finest ingredients and culinary traditions of Slovenia.

Day 4 – Gluten-Free Expo Slovenia

Today is the highlight of the tour.

Gluten-Free Expo Slovenia has rapidly become one of the largest and most exciting gluten-free events in Central and South-Eastern Europe, attracting thousands of visitors, from Slovenia and further afield.

Your visit includes the opportunity to:

• Meet producers from numerous countries

• Sample hundreds of gluten-free products

• Discover new brands and innovations

• Attend talks and cookery demonstrations

• Meet fellow coeliacs from Slovenia and abroad

• Purchase products often unavailable elsewhere

For guests wishing to elevate the experience even further, a special four-course international gourmet lunch can be pre-booked.

Three courses will be prepared by Michelin-starred chef Uroš Štefelin and his team, while dessert will be created by Sefars Sans-Gluten from Algeria, offering a unique fusion of international gluten-free cuisine.

The day concludes with entertainment, social activities and the opportunity to enjoy the unique atmosphere that has made the Expo one of the most anticipated events in the European gluten-free calendar.

Day 5 – Radovljica to Terme Olimia

Following breakfast, travel south-east through Slovenia’s rolling countryside to the award-winning Terme Olimia Wellness Resort in Podčetrtek.

Frequently recognised as one of Slovenia’s leading spa destinations, Terme Olimia offers a perfect combination of relaxation, wellness and luxury.

Accommodation is provided for three nights, allowing ample time to unwind.
