Day 1 — Welcome to festive Ljubljana

Arrive at Ljubljana Airport, where your private transfer will be waiting to take you to Occidental Ljubljana. Check into your Superior Room with City View and settle in before heading out to discover the capital.

Enjoy free time exploring Ljubljana’s Christmas markets, where decorated stalls and festive lights bring the streets and riverside to life. Browse for gifts, warm up with a seasonal drink and find somewhere inviting for your first dinner in the city.

Day 2 — City discoveries, castle views & Christmas lights

After a leisurely start, join a morning guided tour of Ljubljana. Discover the character of the old town, its riverside squares and bridges, while your guide shares stories of the city’s history. Your tour includes a visit to Ljubljana Castle, with time to appreciate its setting above the capital.

The afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace. Browse independent shops, return to the Christmas stalls or settle into a café for coffee and something sweet.

In the evening, enjoy a 30-minute ride aboard an electric wooden boat on the Ljubljanica River. See the decorated bridges and waterfront from the water, with the city’s Christmas lights reflected around you—a lovely way to experience Ljubljana after dark.

Day 3 — Lake Bled & the Julian Alps

Today, join a full-day small-group excursion to discover some of Slovenia’s most beautiful natural scenery.

Visit Lake Bled, where the island church and castle above the shore create an enchanting setting. Continue into the Alpine landscapes of Triglav National Park and explore Kranjska Gora, surrounded by the peaks of the Julian Alps.

At Lake Jasna, enjoy views across the water towards the mountains, before discovering the clear, emerald waters of Zelenci Nature Reserve. Winter brings its own character to each stop, with the possibility of snow adding to the scenery.

Return to Ljubljana for your final evening. Choose a restaurant along the river or among the decorated old-town streets, and enjoy a relaxed farewell dinner beneath the Christmas lights.

Day 4 — Market browsing & farewell Slovenia

Spend your final morning discovering Ljubljana’s food market, subject to opening hours, and browsing for last-minute Christmas gifts. Pick up a local treat to take home or enjoy one last coffee beside the river.

At the arranged time, your private transfer will take you to Ljubljana Airport for your journey home.

• Exploring on foot: Expect walking during the city tour and outdoor sightseeing. Comfortable shoes with good grip and warm, waterproof clothing are recommended.

• Festive opening hours: Christmas markets, shops and the food market may have different opening hours around public holidays. Your itinerary will be arranged around your travel dates.
