Day 1 – Arrival & Goriška Brda

Arrive at your chosen airport and transfer to the Goriška Brda region, often called the “Tuscany of Slovenia” for its rolling vineyards, orchards, and charming hilltop villages. Check in to a boutique hotel or countryside farmstay. Begin your culinary journey with a wine tasting, sampling varietals such as ribolla, chardonnay, pinot blanc, pinot gris, merlot, and cabernet sauvignon amid picturesque vineyard landscapes.

Overnight stay in Goriška Brda.

Day 2 – Goriška Brda – Vipava Valley – Karst Region

Spend the morning exploring Goriška Brda’s green hills and terraced vineyards. Climb a WWI memorial tower for panoramic views across the valley and visit local farms to taste seasonal produce, including sweet cherries in summer.

Continue to Solkan to admire the Solkan Bridge, the world’s largest stone railway arch. Lunch may be served at Pri Lojzetu, a Michelin-starred restaurant overlooking the Vipava Valley. In the afternoon, explore the Karst region, visiting stone-built villages, tasting local wines and liqueurs, and strolling through Štanjel’s Ferrari Garden before dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight stay in the Karst region.

Day 3 – Karst Region – Postojna Cave – Štajerska Region

After breakfast, head east to the Postojna Cave, the largest publicly accessible cave in Europe. Begin your tour by electric train and explore stunning underground formations.

Continue toward Maribor with a stop for a traditional Slovenian lunch. In the afternoon, explore Maribor — Slovenia’s second-largest city, nestled between vineyards and the Drava River. Visit the world’s oldest vine and enjoy a tasting of regional wines such as white riesling and sparkling varietals.

Overnight stay at a farmstay in the Štajerska region.

Day 4 – Ptuj – Jeruzalem Hills – Gornja Radgona

Begin with a morning walk through Ptuj, Slovenia’s oldest town with deep Roman roots. Next, travel to the romantic Jeruzalem Hills, known for beautiful landscapes and warm hospitality. Enjoy a traditional lunch and wine tasting. In the afternoon, visit Gornja Radgona near the Austrian border, famed for over 150 years of sparkling wine production.

Overnight stay in the Štajerska region.

Day 5 – Štajerska Region – Ljubljana

After breakfast, transfer to Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital. Embark on a culinary-themed walking tour through key cultural landmarks such as Prešeren Square and the Dragon Bridge. Your guide will take you to both traditional and modern eateries to experience regional specialties from across the country.

Overnight stay in Ljubljana.

Day 6 – Bled & Bohinj – Gorenjska Region

Today, explore the alpine Gorenjska region, beginning with the lakeside town of Bled. Visit the iconic island via traditional boat and enjoy views from Bled Castle. Lunch in Bled is followed by a must-try: the famous kremšnita cream cake.

In the afternoon, continue to Bohinj Valley, home of the traditional mohant cheese. Optional cheese tasting tours are available. On the way back, visit Radovljica for a stop at the gingerbread museum and dinner at a traditional inn serving stew in a bread bowl.

Overnight stay in Ljubljana.

Day 7 – Departure

Enjoy free time before your transfer to the airport. If your flight is later in the day, you’ll receive tailored lunch recommendations — whether you’re in the mood for fine dining or local street food, Ljubljana has it all.
